Shahid Asked Priyanka to Quit Booze

Shahid Kapoor takes real care of his girlfriends’ health and fitness. When he was g! oing around with Kareena Kapoor, he turned Bebo into a toal vegetarian and now, when he is making it out with Priyanka Chopra, the chocolate boy has made her quit booze and delve into yoga and meditation instead.
Shahid had been bothered for quite sometime about Priyanka overstressing herself. And his fears did come truw with Priyanka facing serious health problems recently due to fatigue and over exertion. Shahid has advised her to take it easy and take up yoga and meditation to keep herself fit and relaxed. However, since she had allotted dates for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘What’s Your Rashee?’ there was no way she could back out.
Nonetheless, the beautiful actress has promised her friend (read lover) to abstain from booze.

I don't feel the need for one as of now, When I am ready for a second child, I will probably have one. God willing, if I am meant to have another one, I'll have it. But if not, I ! am quite happy with one and giving him whatever I can".
As Sonali was last seen in the memorized play of Karan Johar's 2003 hit movie "Kal Ho Naa Ho", was in the capital Wednesday to speak to her association with Colours' New Reality Show "India's Got Talent". At the Kolkata auditions, we had Chhau (its a form of a traditional dance) dancers, Bihu dancers, tribal boys doing a skit, martial arts - it was awesome.

A Small Little Baby - Kaka Rajesh Khanna
They say that if there was ever a superstar in the Indian Film Industry, it had to be Rajesh Khanna. There may be romantic leading men and icons in Bollywood but there is and will be only one superstar for his ability to take cinematic love to legendary heights.
Why couldn't anybody replace him? Why since four long decades 'Kakaji's' superstar status is still not passed on? Because he had the biggest and the maddest fan following, especially his female fans. They would write love letters to him soaked in blood. They would kiss his car and faint.
They wouldn't marry anybody in their life for they dedicated their life to Rajesh Khanna. His fashion and style statement was evident in all the colleges across India.

Such was the impact of a man who, with the rigorous use of his voice to communicate a character's lines like 'Pushpa...I hate tears' and 'Babumushai...zindagi jo hain woh badi honi chahiye, lambi nahi' express emotions, which he achieved through attention to diction and commitment to his character.
Devansh Patel met the real and the reel superstar who, with his trademark smile and pose, delivered those famous lines from his film Anand and in the ten minutes which we were given, spoke in length about his IIFA Lifetime Achievement Award, how the word 'Kakaji' was born, his superstar status, his film Anand which inspired the country, his first love and first super hit Aradhana, his one liner to describe Kishore Kumar and Bollywood's next superstar, his grandson Aarav.
Congratulat! ions on your Lifetime Achievement Award you've received at thi! s years IIFA Macau.
Thank you so much. But this is not my first Lifetime Achievement Award. I've already got a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement when the black lady turned into gold. Then I was presented one during the Stardust Awards too.
IIFA is a different feeling all together. IIFA is a very prestigious award and is no less than an Oscar. IIFA is a heritage of participating to highlight the culture of India to the various countries of the world.
This is also the first time I'm attending all the three days of the IIFA Weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.
The entire world knows you as 'Kakaji'. Please tell us how the word 'Kaka' became so synonymous with Rajesh Khanna?
That's interesting. 'Kaka' in Punjabi means a small little baby. When I came into films, I was called 'Kaka' because I was young and small and with a bit of respect they added 'Ji'. That's how the world famous 'Kakaji' was born.
Indian Film Industry's first! ever superstar. Women kissing your car, women writing love letters to you in blood, your style of dressing and talking. Everything you did was tagged as superstar.
No matter who they are. Whether they are Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian or any other community, I will always be grateful to my audience.

In the corner of their heart, all of them have given me a small little space, stored and bestowed me with their love and affection. I would also like to thank my co-stars who've made me become an actor, then a star and then a superstar.
Being a superstar i! sn't an individual achievement but it's the almighty above the! re who t hinks he likes me. All departments of our film industry made me an actor to a star to a superstar.
When people are on the verge of a near collapse and some who don't have much time to spend with their loved ones, all advice to watch Rajesh Khanna's Anand.
How did you come to know this? You're right. Even today, people advice to watch Anand simply because it was a path breaking film which had a path breaking dialogue, "Hum toh is rang manch ki katputliya hain aur hum sab ki dor upar wale ke haath mein hain.
Kaun kya kab yeh koi nahin jaanta. Isliye babumushai...hey babumushai, zindagi jo hain woh badi honi chahiye, lambi nahin honi chahiye. Itna pyaar zyaada accha nahin hain". People cried a lot during this final scene of the film because somewhere it touched their sentiments. Anand also gave them an inspiration and a reason to live.
Let's talk about your first big super hit Aradhana.
Aradhana was the first stepping stone towards m! y success. After that film, I never had to look back. For that, my tribute goes to my favourite Late Mr. Shakti Samant. I've worked with him in lots of films.
He gave me lot of encouragement, lot of affection and never made me feel that Aradhana was my first super hit. Not many know but I was working with yet another superstar heroine Sharmila Tagore in Aradhana.

At that time she was more famous than I was and did not give me the complex that I was a newcomer. She is one of the most beautiful and sophisticated ladies I've ever seen. Aradha! na will always be my first love.
They say that you! were th e one who gave Kishore Kumar his second innings with Aradhana.
I will just sum this up in one sentence. I told Shakti Samant that Kishore Kumar was my soul and I was his body.
How is the relationship you share with your son-in-law Akshay Kumar? Can you recall those moments of sweet gestures between you two, the fatherly advice, etc?
I told Akshay that he works in nice films. My advice to him was that he should dance, he should entertain, he should do good action but overall I did tell him to work in films that have a purpose and stop working in films like the Khiladi series. Other than that, Akshay is doing a fine job.
You proud of your family tree?
Of course yes. I am very proud of this family because of the family tree. It's coming down from Rajesh Khanna to Dimple Kapadia. From Dimple to Twinkle Khanna to Rinke, it moves to my son-in-law Akshay Kumar and to my grandson Aarav.
I'm, saying this in public today that after Raj! esh Khanna the superstar, the next in line will be Aarav, and I'm not saying this because he is the son of Akshay Kumar but because he will carry the talent, the dedication and the sacrifice which everyone of us has carried in our family. Aarav will be Indian Film Industry's next super star.

I Can't Believe I Can Act So Well - Katrina Kaif
Last week at a special screening of Kabir Khan’s New York Katrina Kaif broke down after she saw what was on screen.
“It was embarrassing. This has never happened to me before. I was deeply moved by the film. And I couldn’t believe what my director Kabir Khan had achieved in my performance. I kept staring at myself. ‘That’s me!’ I exclaimed at the end of the film.â€
This is the first time that Katrina has played a character who echoes her own personality. “So far all my characters have been pretty alien to me. Even the London girl in Chandigarh in Namaste London was not at all like me. But the girl in New York connects deeply with me. Or do I connect with her? It’s symbiotic, I think.â€
When he saw what synthesis of ‘actor’ and ‘character’ had been achieved she simply broke down.

Remembering that evening Katrina says, “It was a very private screening. Only members of the cast, our director his wife, the producer and his wife were there. I’ve never been so impressed by any of my films.
So far they’ve all been in the orbit of escapist entertainment. New York is my first realistic film.I’m proud of all my films. But this is new chapter in my career.â€
Katrina will be devoting the next two weeks solely to promoting the film. “So far our producers Yashraj Films haven’t allowed us to talk about New York. Even now I can’t talk much about it without giving away the plot. But I’m very proud of what we’ve done.â€

Sach Ka Saamna - Why Rajeev Khandelwal Is Hosting?
He is grilling people on their best kept secrets and luring them with big money to ditch their families, friends and relatives and tell the truth. But now it’s his turn to face the truth, know Rajeev Khandelwal as he confess coming back to television was never on his cards
Why television, when you are now doing Bollywood films?
Actually, I was not ready to host Sach Ka Saamna, for that matter any show. But Babu (Siddharth Basu) insisted me to go and watch the series Moment Of the Truth, and I was instantly hooked.

I found it to be really interesting. It’s challenging and exciting; when I go ahead in life and look back, I should feel happy that I didn’t do just run-of-the-mill stuff but also got personal satisfaction.
But didn’t you felt that television might overexpose you?
Yes, initially there were some reservations, as I am doing UTV’s Peter Gaya Kaam Se… the producers did not want my long hair look to be revealed. But after they saw the TV show Moment Of the Truth they agreed and gave me the green signal for the serial. My look is much wilder in the film.
On your show Sach Ka Saamna; it asks very personal questions, are you comfortable with that?
If I am uncomfortable I tell the contestants- the question I will ask makes me feel tight, so you can work out how uncomfortable it will be for you to answer.
See, I have ! not really worked out any character as the host; I just deal w! ith them on human level.
It’s not easy to get up and speak the truth, so there is a certain way when I ask those questions; it’s more like a game. The gaming element comes in.
But don’t you think those questions can break real families?
Or it can bring the family close. Why do we all have this negative attitude towards truth? It’s so ironical; we all like to say- let’s speak the truth, but then a show like this happens and it’s said we are breaking families!
Should a family survive on lies, for how long will they endure? There are two ways of looking at it. Certain truths if kept inside could be fatal. I say truth is better.

Rajeev, in the promo of the show we saw a family leaving. Don’t you think it’s regressive?
I don’t think so. It’s a part of the bigger picture which will be clear in that episode. You will know why they left and after knowing the truth. This is Agnipariksha. We are not making fun of our contestants or selling someone’s secrets. I dislike regressive show, that’s why I left doing daily soaps.
Is Sach Ka Saamna same as Moment Of the Truth? No, we adapted to Indian sensibilities and our own sanskriti. We still live in a conservative society; where things are not openly discussed. So, there is a lot of Rajeev the Indian who asks questions.
When the person gets too emotional, I ask questions that are in lighter vein; this is where we have kept the Indian sensibility in mind and it may ! raise a lot of eyebrows.
Where is the drama then? When the truth unveils there is lot of drama. See, drama is not in the contestant, or what I am doing there, it happens when you hear the question and relate yourself to it. Down the line drama is in the fact; will someone have the courage to answer.
Is that why you are hosting the show?
There is a big reason why I am hosting this show. When I heard the questions, I thought with every question you will relate yourself with it and to your own life.

Ranbir Kapoor as Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year has got some sizzling company now. We hear that Shimit Amin has roped in Bipasha Basu in a special song in a glam avtaar.
Accroding to a source, "Rocket Singh is a character driven film with no clear lead pair. Suddenly, after they began shooting, the idea of no oomph in the film didn't seem right, Aditya Chopra had a word with Shimit and bounced an idea of an item number with Bipasha in it.
Even though Shimit Amin, the director of superb films like Chak De India and Ab Tak Chhappan, is known for his uncompromising work style, he’s learnt to have capitulated to the Yashraj honcho’s demand and agreed to hav! e the item song on Bipasha in the film.
Bipasha will shoot for the film in two weeks on a set in Yash Raj Studios. A spokesperson for Yash Raj says, "Not true at all." The film hits cinemas worldwide on Dec 11 this year.
